Evening Primrose Oil

(Latin Name: Oenothera Biennis)

The plant acquired the primrose name because its bright yellow flowers resemble primrose flowers, and its flowers open in the evening, hence its current name. Evening Primrose Oil, (EPO), is extracted from the seeds of Oenothera biennis, The plant was officially introduced in 1614 into Europe, and rapidly became known as ‘Kings Cure All’ because of its useful medicinal properties, mainly due to Gamma linolenic acid (GLA) content found in this oil and consequently its effects on hormone regulation, cell regeneration and cholesterol regulation etc.

Recommended Use through ingestion 1 Teaspoon ( 5 ml) daily Evening before meals. In acute conditions, should be used twice daily ( AM-PM) for minimum of 3-6 months.
